LEGACY INSTITUTE _ Addictions Legacy Institute has its authority in cooperation with the Association of Christian Alcohol & Drug Counselors, which is one of several certification organizations authorized by the California Department of Alcohol & Drug Programs to certify Drug & Alcohol Counselors. In addition to alcohol and drug counseling certification, Legacy Institute also offers other certifications and credential programs, as well as professional degree programs — Associates and Bachelors Degree in Applied Drug, Alcohol & Addictions Counseling, Bachelor of Theology Degree in Pastoral Counseling, Master of Education Degree in Counselor Education, Masters of Arts Degree in Applied Drug, Alcohol & Addictions Counseling, Master of Divinity and Pastoral Ordination, Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Drug, Alcohol & Addictions Research, Doctoral Degree in Christian Psychology, and Doctor of Theology. who are we, our history and what we do... Acquire the Legacy Counseling & Training Center has a strong belief that it does not so matter what credentials we carry, the only real one is the love and obedience we have for Jesus in our hearts which allows the birthing of His Ministries, in or out of church. In these last days, we have been called out of the "box"! This leadership having a prophetic anointing has transitioned from traditional ministry of teaching, preaching, evangelizing in the streets, online radio, feeding orphans, foster care, building an orphanage in India, food pantries, soup kitchens, clothing closets, etc. into a complete package with eyes for the Kingdom. ATLCC has not evolved through it's own doing, but through the Divine Wisdom of God without losing the foundation of discipleship in Jesus Christ, which is our central focus. As we understand what ministry is, our call and walk in the pattern of Christ, as members of the body of Christ, we counsel pro bono (free) more often than not. We welcome donations to compensate having the status nonprofit and tax-exempt designated 501c3 by IRS. Our counselor training program is to train and equip counselors to be effective, more fully using the gifts given by God, because it is not the intellect that makes a minister/counselor able to penetrate peoples hearts and foster needed life changes, it's much more. We don't neglect the educational part of our program and we are committed to teach the standard TAP 21, as Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs teach it. True answers to people’s problems are found in the kind of person we are as counselors, and the wisdom and insight we have because God's Word lives inside us. Therefore, in addition to meeting all accreditation requirements concerning what to teach, we also teach what scripture says about the principles contained in TAP 21 Competencies. The Lord has supernaturally won this war of His removal from this important task for the benefit of both He has called, His remnants and the poor & downtrodden through our ability to train others for the Church or Marketplace. Individuals, churches and/or ministries can utilize this valuable tool to infuse the Kingdom with qualified "Warriors" to go out and reach the lost. It is the same fruit that the church is seeking from a different perspective (i.e.. discipleship). The results... are qualified, state approved counselors graduating from an accredited college with credentials of professional Drug and Alcohol Counselors whom also have the options for other specialties. These credentials are used are carry the same weight "worldwide" as ordination credentials. Importantly,
it is also emphasized that it does not matter where
you are academically or ministerial, currently
in or have history in the helping fields.
What is important is your heart
and that you
know our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The first certification is the result is having a Godly
Worldview, not a secular worldview. There are other conveniences such as
distance training, ceu's, degrees, financing
and Training Institute Start-ups available.
